James C. Padula, DO
Pain Management, Board Certified
Dr. Padula has over 25 years of experience in treatment of spine and joint pain. Dr. Padula completed his Bachelor’s Degree at Villanova University. He graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine with Honors.
He completed his internship at Maimonides Medical Center and residency at North Shore University Hospital at Glen Cove. Dr. Padula is trained in interventional Pain Management and Minimally Invasive Surgeries. Dr. Padula also trains physicians in the field of pain management.

Dr. David A. Fernandez MD, FACS, FAAOS
Orthopedic Spine Surgeon Board Certified
Dr. David A. Fernandez MD, FACS, FAAOS is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon with 30 years of experience. He obtained his medical degree from Michigan State University and completed his orthopedic residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City and the Florida Fellowship in Reconstructive Spinal Surgery in Gainesville, Florida.
Some of the procedures Dr. Fernandez performs include: cervical discectomy and fusion, cervical artificial disc replacement, spinal stenosis procedures, lumbar fusions and instrumentation, minimally invasive micro lumbar discectomies for disc herniations, direct lateral lumbar interbody fusion (XLIF), sacroiliac joint injections and fusions, spinal cord stimulator trials and permanents, Activ8 stimulators for back muscle (multifidus) dysfunction, kyphoplasty for thoracic and lumbar compression fractures, and other spinal procedures.
Dr. Fernandez proudly served our country as a physician in the US Navy, achieving the rank of Commander. While stationed at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD he had the privilege of treating members of Congress and all our Armed Forces, as well as those of foreign allied militaries. Dr. Fernandez earned several awards, including the Meritorious Unit Commendation Armed Forces Service Medal, Fleet Marine Force Designator, National Defense Service Medal, and Pistol Expert. While deployed to Haiti he was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal for participating in over 90 humanitarian missions providing medical care to the Haitian people, and leading a task force to evaluate the needs of Haiti’s main medical center. A report was forwarded to the Governor of Florida at his request, which secured several hundred thousand dollars’ worth of equipment and supplies for the hospital, significantly improving the quality of care the facility could provide.
Dr. Fernandez is a member of several professional organizations including the American College of Surgeons, North American Spine Society, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American College of Lifestyle Medicine, American Association for Physician Leadership and the Adventist Medical Evangelistic Network. Dr. Fernandez loves to teach and has mentored orthopedic residents and medical students throughout his career as an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at the College of Human Medicine, Michigan State University. He has instructed at many spine courses across the country, and is frequently consulted as an orthopedic hardware expert He has lectured on various health topics, preached internationally, and participated in international medical mission trips with his family. He and his wife, a registered dietitian, have taught numerous vegetarian cooking schools and other health programs for their community.
In their spare time he and his family enjoy traveling, hiking, skiing, and trying international vegetarian cuisine! Dr. Fernandez is fluent in Spanish and is currently learning Portuguese.
Dr. Eric Bandar, DO
Interventional pain physician who specializes in a multidisciplinary approach to treating pain by integrating physical therapy, international techniques, and minimally invasive endoscopic and fluoroscopic-guided spine procedures. Including EMG/NCV. MSK and peripheral nerve blocks.


Dr. Frank McCormick MD
Dr. Frank McCormick MD is a board-certified orthopedic sports medicine surgeon specializing in arthroscopic treatment of the shoulder, hip, and knee with further sub-specialization in sports medicine and cartilage/joint preservation.
Dr. McCormick obtained his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy where he performed his surgical internship at the Naval Medical Center San Diego, followed by serving as an F/A-18 Fighter Jet Flight Surgeon for United States Marine Corps VMFA-314 squadron.
Subsequently, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the Harvard Combined Orthopedic Residency Program where he was selected as a Chief Resident at Massachusetts General Hospital.
He then completed an Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at the world-renown Rush Sports Medicine Fellowship followed by the prestigious International Cartilage Repair Society (ICRS) Sanofi travelling fellowship in joint preservation and cartilage regeneration.
Dr. McCormick has achieved regional, national and international recognition for his clinical research endeavors. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed papers published in top orthopedic and sports medicine journals while speaking at regional, national or international conferences over 200 times.
Dr. McCormick served as an orthopedic sports medicine specialist within the Harvard medical faculty physician group at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital.He led the sports medicine program, called SportSmart, which provided athletic care coverage to 12 local high schools, a community college athletic program, and a summer league baseball program. Dr. McCormick also served as the hospital’s surgical safety officer, which was integral in the department’s safety cultural norms and care delivery via lean based approach, that based on the department’s scorecards--met or exceeded the surgical outcomes of the top Boston-based institutions.
Dr. McCormick’s surgical practice centers around complex shoulder, knee, cartilage and hip arthroscopy procedures, with aspecial interest in joint preservation. Heregularly tracks his surgical outcomes andis keen on process improvement,value-based care delivery, and educationand training. He leads a medical student research group, and they are successful inimplementing numerous pathways thathave outlined the benefits our leanbased surgical care.
Dr. McCormick is currently commissioned as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy Reserve. He has also served as assistant team physician for the Chicago Bulls (NBA), Chicago White Sox (MLB), and Depaul University (Division I) Men’s and women’s basketball and soccer teams. He has also provided medical care for the New England Patriots (NFL), CrossFit World Competitions and Professional Volleyball.
Dr. McCormick is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Florida International University and Central Florida University with a previous academic appointment at Harvard Medical School.
Amanda Weaver, MMS, PA-C, MS, ATC/L
Originally from Hudson Valley, NY, Amanda has made her home in Naples since 2004.
From her first step in Naples, she has been deeply integrated in the orthopaedic and healthcare community of Southwest Florida. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science and her Master of Science degree in Sports Medicine, Amanda spent the ten years following her graduation from Savannah, Georgia's Armstrong Atlantic State University as an Athletic Trainer and clinical instructor. Amanda then shifted her focus to becoming a PA and graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Master of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant in 2016. After working independently in most facilities and with many of the most skilled orthopaedic surgeons in Southwest Florida, she now calls Interventional Pain Professionals home.
A member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA), and Physician Assistants of Orthopaedic Surgery (PAOS). Amanda holds an Athletic Trainer License in addition to her Physician Assistant License and its accompanying PA Prescribing License. Amanda is certified in both fields as well.
She makes spare time to enjoy her happy place, the beaches of Naples, as well as trying to perfect her golf game.
